Legs
After cutting, stacking and gluing the MDF together in a sort of leg-shape, further cuts were needed to give it some precise shape. Using a workmate, some clamps and a jigsaw the MDF appeared more leg-like.
A few holes were made with a milling machine for detail in the sides, and then I nipped out to the shops to grab some goodies: two mini table stands, two circuits from Velleman, spray cans, blue pin-striping and some spectacle glasses.
With some aluminium to act like a bracket for support, the MDF frame with both table-stands sat inside the newly made legs as something to build the body from. This bracket would then go inside the main can - where it was bolted down - to suspend the main body by the legs.
The legs were also given a blast of white paint too to make them more in-tune with R2's real colour.
